Segregation is a necessary step
black kids are treated horribley in integrated schools
in integrated schools, they are "learning their place in society"
given the reality of the situation at hand, it is important to segregate
they are loosing their own perspective, on history (African American studies)
black students need teachers who understand their lives/history
became a nationalist during this period of time
rather than being concerned with desegregation, African Americans should be concerned with getting more resources for black schools
White people will resist desegregation, why go through the trouble?
